You can say you're a fan of neo soul without this new riveting classic in your collection.

Voodoo

Following the successful debut Brown Sugar, D'Angelo showed he was far from a wonderful album with the release of voodoo. A retro soul perfection, this masterpiece of forefront not only dramatically compared to the old school Marvin Gaye, but the experimental bone chilling sounds of Jimi Hendrix Axis: Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland. Voodoo has to finger-snapping, head bopping command with outbursts of anger, love songs and open your eyes the reality of this genre is so known for tasty. Anyone familiar with D'Angelo's second album will agree it was worth the wait.
