The difference is, of course, the tutorials on YouTube are generally short while a DVD dance usually involves a bit of ground.

Dance DVDs are also great because once you have it, you have it. You can watch again and again, as you have the master in his house. All you have to do is practice dance moves! And everyone knows that practice makes perfect.

Dance DVDs and videos are also great value for money, you pay once and you can take the class again and again. For people who are really driven by money, they can make a great investment. It is possible to achieve a spectacular player DVD player with a great choreographer or teacher that would be difficult to achieve in real life.

The thing to remember with DVDs is that dance can never replace real of real-life world of dance training. It's just a dance lesson. A DVD can not cover all or facilitate the training needed to become a better dancer. A great hip hop dancer, for example, has probably taken hundreds of dance classes.

The big difference is actually in training. If you're looking at buying a dance DVD, you may well buy a DVD that teaches the techniques and concepts, not just dance routines. A dance routine is good to have on a DVD, but it's better if mixed with a lot of technical failures. Insurance basics you can practice and improve with time.

Also, do not go easy on yourself just because you're learning a DVD. Do not say "I'm going to see 20 minutes now, I watch TV then maybe do another 15 minute DVD. "Actually participate and take the class on the DVD as you would in real life. Practice slow paced full of music, not only practice slowly.

If you buy a DVD dance most important thing is that actually do the exercises and routines that are taught in the videos! If you just view, you will not get much benefit, apart from becoming more informed. You probably want to really be able to do the dance moves in the videos, not only have knowledge of them.

If you really want to learn a specific dance style or finding a great choreographer and dancer you want to learn from then on all the means to buy your dance video. But where possible, also try to attend dance classes in real life and dance workshops when you can and you will find you'll be moving even faster.
