Hip-hop began its journey as a byproduct of the struggle to answer the call of some renaissance of consciousness within the African American community. Born in the basement of the youth ghetto Black America, its roots embedded in the spoken word, poetry and jazz, hip-hop truth whispered and shouted his ability to evolve and, finally, last.

Although Hip-hop originated as a musical genre people for people, rap, his counterpart has proved a worthy adversary. Creating manipulated by industry executives in boardrooms and dictated by a monetary fund has turned both the hip hop community and suburban America in the head. With its far-reaching influence and appeal cleverly packaged, the rap was very comfortable in theaters worldwide. Rap artists and nearly as much street credibility as Justin Timberlake offset by gunshot wounds and physical well inked. Impressionable the next generation-ers follow the trend, no doubt, and to imitate their sports heroes platinum. Letras account for very little when image is everything.

Hip-hop, apparently lies in the shadow of the machine rap. Following a drastic change in hip-hop culture, most artists have succumbed to an "ideology bling ", taking what was to be lyrical, disguised as graffiti pop art discard its original truth of soundbites, samples, and is comfortable.

In the last decade, artists such as Nas, Outkast, encryption, Rakim and Mos Def, among others, have tried to keep the roots and the integrity of the genre. Anthems like One Mic (NAS), Sunshine (Mos Def), The Saga Begins (Rakim), the streets keep calling me (figure), and Elevators (Outkast) echo the principles of urban griots Hip Hop while allowing art to evolve.

Hip-hop heads do not drink the tap water main threat rap … contaminating what remains of true Hip Hop. Excessive exposure and "force-feed" marketing strategies limit the longevity of most rap artists while the music industry and higher return on your investment faster. In an attempt to boost sales of radio tags bribe program directors for specific artists rotate at regular intervals. Meanwhile, other artists are resigned to an underground environment and little or no radio play. These artists, however, should lay down their microphones and resign from their soap boxes because fantasy can not stop what is real.
