1.Study Your Craft
So say you want to rap. It's time to do your research. Do you know where rap originated? You'll have to return to the days in that rap was in its rawest form. The art was so simple then. Study the way they had come up. (If you baught the book, you can bring into play the points system to mimic the styles of old) If you look at some of the biggest rap artist of all time and the study of his early work, will they dominated the early styles of his art before pushing the envelope. In other words, do YOUR research.

Lessons for technical 2.Consider
Art to some extent is a learned process – including the icons can benefit from the lessons. You may feel like maybe you are a professional of a particular style, but can that need improvement in another style or combination of line. So it's always good idea to practice new and exciting techniques. If you bought the book, which is a great place to start. Also using rhyming dictionaries and grammar books can help great. The rhyming dictionary is especially good in the fight against writers block.

3.Study Your Favorite Songs
Park yourself in front of your radio, or Chuck at your favorite CD, clutch pencil and paper and the study of their favorite songs as a student in the game. Write down five things you like about the song.

• The Hook is catchy
• The sound effects were adjusted. What?
• How were the adlibs / Voice acquisitions used?
• What sounded the warmest?
• What lines illest's voice?

Ask yourself these questions and see what you can use and add to your own style. Cogens not listen to lyrics and content, but look Rhyme structure and patterns.

Feedback 4.Get
Always, always, and almost always try to get feedback on their music. Let someone to listen what you have. This gives you confidence and lets you know its improvement. I have a music page where people can leave comments at: http / /: target = "_blank"> www.how2rap.com/jmillmusic.html and gives me an idea of where to improve and people running the feelin. Most people love it some say its wack. As a matter of a cat made of Wack Wack Wack put through all my songs … .. lol. I think it was a rival gang or something. The point is, you have to expect that at some point negative feedback. Especially in this business. All you can do is learn from it and move on.

All 5.Video & Audio Tape
It is a great idea to record the audio of their practices for later review. You will hear good and bad things that he was not aware of performance or practice. Notice ways you can develop their image and performance or audio. If you have a small audio recorder (I use an Olympus of my daily audio), practice saying your verse and hear how and where can improve your handwriting. Focus on keeping their words go smoothly. If a word or phrase does not flow off the tongue the right way, simply change and use something that works better for you. The team of video and audio use need not be the top of the line. The one I use for my page of the audio diaries is not the state of the art. They are mainly supposed to be only for your eyes and when you fly these audio and video tapes will be a valuable part of your files. If it is your thinking so far …. You should be. Which brings us to our next point.

6.Always think ahead
In order to be doing well in this biz a little waste of their time and efforts thinking about the long term. They say the best time to plan for the future is in the past. Looking ahead will motivate you and push you to achieve your goals.

Focus and know what you want. Tell yourself you will succeed. Until next time …. Stay and keep grindin.
