So, how does a great hip-hop rhythm instantly? It’s even easier than trying to get an idea of the astonishing rate of nothing. Here’s how: you have to stand up, imagine a party or club full of people, and start dancing FIRST. Are only one or two seconds to move your body before your brain starts to create something for your hips to react. It is almost impossible to dance to the music absolutely everyone, without hearing something big moment in the head that your body really wants to dance. Try it and see it’s true. But do not be lazy about it – you really have to move and enter it.
To make it even easier, standing start to move and dance a little and sing the rhythms and melody aloud as you enter it. You may feel stupid at first, but who cares? I’d rather be a great musician who makes a corny heating a tough guy who makes cool shit, boring beats that no one wants to dance.
The reason this works is that your mind and body are connected and what you do to one affects the other. Do not sit in a chair on your computer or drum machine and try to make great looking shots of the buttons and lights, you will not get anywhere. Get your booty and walk across the floor as you would in a bangin party and your mind will fill in the music that your body is moving a. Then go to the drum machine and beat out the hit – but not sit down until finished.
